ZUCCHINI

15.2H - OLDENBURG X ARAB - 2005

Zucchini was purchased as a yearling, it was clear from the beginning that he was something special. He is a very impressive, well bred stallion; possessing great confirmation, good muscular build and three rhythmical, active and extravagant paces.

Zucchini competed in many inhand competitions at country level becoming Champion and Reserve Supreme as a 2yr old; he also got his first Premium BEF Diploma certificate scoring 8.3; before being injured at the age of 3yrs which put a halt to his competition career.

Luckily at the age of 5yrs Zucchini has now been able to overcome his injury and start his training and can pursue his dressage talents, he is showing great attitude to work and has tremendous presence and length of gait.

Zucchini is by Sisyrinchium an outstanding NastA Performance Tested and AHS Premium Scheme Stallion; Sisyrinchium himself has a string of achievements to his name, including winning his class at the National show as a 2yr old, as a 3yr old he won at the Royal Bath and West Junior Male and then went to be Champion Male at Towerlands International Show. He went on to be an exceptional ridden horse winning the British National Ridden Championship in 1997.

In his NaStA performance test he proved that he could not only demonstrate a talent for dressage but also completed a 3'3 - 3'6 cross country course. Sisyrinchium has produced a couple of stallions who have gained their Grade 1 Elite NaSta.

Zucchini Grand Sire Dhruv was an Arab horse society premium stallion which held the Endurance Sire of the Year award for many years, having produced several advanced Endurance horses including Dacoit and Jade Rani, who have been on the British team, and senior squad horse Java Sunlight and has several progeny eventing, showing, and racing at a high level.

Zucchini's Dam Zoomer (Lady Jane) stable name Hannah, was born and bred in Canada in1989 - like her sire Zucarlos - she was jumped by the Olympic team showjumper Jay Hayes. She was the equivalent of Grade A in the UK ;comfortably jumping 1.5m courses with great athleticism.

Hannahs Sire Zucarlos (46,88 % thoroughbred (XX / OX)) was the leading member of the Canadian Olympic Showjumping Team at the Barcelona Olympics 1994 jumping over 6' (1.8 m) fences.

He outperformed Big Ben and Monopoly and was ranked at the top stallion of the time under his rider Jay Hayes. Zucarlos consistently competed as a Canadian team member in the Volvo World Cup, Nation's Cup and Olympic Games over a period of 8 years. He was always commented on his wonderful calm temperament and gentle nature.

Zucarlos's Full Sister Acarla belongs to one of the best Dutch breeding families, named Karla-line, KWPN mare-line no 6, breeding family no 721. Which also carries the great stallion Joost sire of Picarla, Zucarlos & Alarla' s Dam.

Acarla is dam to one of the most sort after stallions around today the international showjumper:  Mr.Blue.

Acarla is also dam of the national showjumpers Cody, and Mowgleen.

This Karla-motherline also produced the international eventing horse: Oncarlos  (by Faram x Oldenburg) competing at the Olympic Games at Beijing 2008 under Tim Lips.

Zucchini has some of the most important bloodlines in history - from the production of the Anglo Norman, Anglo Arab through to the Oldenburg and Holstein breeding of today.
